Course summary
The course starts with an assessment of each student to identify the areas they need to focus on. This includes taking into account any injuries, illness or chronic conditions.
Once this information is gathered a targeted program is created for each person. The equipment will be supplied and each student will be individually instructed on the exercises as well as provide feedback so they know they are doing the exercise correctly.
The goal of the class is to provide more detailed instruction that is specific to the individuals needs which will help students progress more quickly and focus on exercise variations that suit their bodies (something that is only partially possible in group mat classes)
This type of pilates is ideal for those with spinal conditions such as scoliosis, kyphosis, bulging discs, osteoporosis as well as those with injuries that limit their movement or those who want more detailed instruction that a large mat class can offer.
The use of small equipment assists with the pilates movements and provides support as well as resistance so that the students improve faster.
