This beginner sewing course is designed to teach the basics of using a sewing machine and creating simple projects. You will learn essential skills like threading, stitching, sewing corners, and backstitching. You will create practical items, including a stitching sampler, a stuffed pin cushion, a tote bag, and a zipper purse, using scrap fabrics. The course focuses on building confidence while learning new techniques and finishing projects professionally.

With a deep understanding of design production, and fabric sourcing, Amanda has worked on a wide range of projects, from handmade clothing and accessories to unique sleepwear collections. Her passion for sewing is matched by her enthusiasm for teaching others, whether through workshops, online tutorials, or one-on-one guidance.
Amanda’s approach emphasises sustainability, craftsmanship, and creativity, inspiring others to explore the art of sewing and create meaningful, handmade pieces.
