About the tutor
Ariel De Ramos Molina is a local emerging artist. He mainly uses acrylic as a medium because its characteristics such as quick drying time, a wide range of colours, and textural possibilities are well suited for au-plein air and urban painting and his colourful and bright painting style. His paintings explore themes of nature, history, identity, colour, and the therapeutic effects of art.
He has held solo exhibitions at Gee Lee-Wik Doleen Gallery, Craigieburn (Spirit of a Place, 2024), Newport Community Hub, Hobsons Bay (Nature in Concrete: Victorian and Urban Landscapes, 2023), Greater Dandenong Library (How Bees See Flowers, 2023), as well as participated at several group exhibitions.
Ariel was a finalist of the SBS Portrait Prize in 2022 for his painting Grandma. RIP. Covid 2021.
