About the tutor

From her young age, Tomoni Sekizawa has been passionate about creating things. In Japan, she majored in interior design at college and then spent a decade honing her ceramics skills.
Moving to Australia 12 years ago introduced her to a new craft: crochet. Despite never having tried it before, her mother-in-law’s encouragement quickly transformed her curiosity into a deep love for the art. Tomomi says “There’s immense joy and fulfillment in seeing someone use something I’ve crafted with my own hands and heart“.
Tomomi aims to keep this creative passion alive, continually making and sharing the joy it brings with as many people as possible.
