Art Therapy for Adults Affected by Anxiety and Social Isolation

Course summary

This workshop invites you to participate in 3 different art-making exercises based on the intention of exploring our inner thoughts of anxiety, worry and isolation. We will be using mixed media (oil pastels, crayons, soft pastels, charcoal) to express ourselves.

The purpose is to reconnect with ourselves and others while trying to release any perfectionism.

We will explore and gain insight into our behaviours and thought patterns, to develop skills to cope with challenges such as stress, anxiety, and feelings of social isolation.

The group will be held in an open art room space, where participants are welcome to engage in conversation with other participants while they create.
