Course summary
An ‘all new’ class run by Michael & Therese who have taught the popular Basic Sourdough Breadmaking at YCC for many years.
A 5-hour workshop that shows you that there is so much more you can do with a sourdough culture than just use it to make a loaf of bread. You will make Grissini, English Muffins, Pittas, and Sourdough Crackers… and because the class runs from 10am to 3pm, you also make your own sourdough pizza to eat for lunch.
All ingredients supplied.
The class assumes that you know how to bake bread and have your own sourdough starter culture at home. As usual, the workshop is hands-on right from the start.

About the tutors
Michael has run popular Sourdough bread-making classes at YCC for more than five years. A keen bread maker for over 30 years, at home with yeasted bread as well as sourdoughs. Michael enjoys showing that delicious and great-looking bread (and other baked goods) CAN be easily made in the humble domestic kitchen.
Therese Slee is a home baker who loves to bake biscuits, cakes, and scones. She enjoys sharing her recipes and shortcuts with others. Therese’s passion for baking was put into action when she and her husband Michael ran a B&B in Newport, where guests were always provided with home-baked goodies to enjoy with a cuppa. Recently, Therese has become a devotee of all things Devonshire Tea – a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
